Distinct Education – an aid for Engineering

India is a diverse and democratic country and is also advancing in global technologies. This increased in the number of engineering graduates across the states. In India, most of the students wish to enroll for engineering courses after their higher secondary education. A great demand arises among the students to reserve a seat in well-known institutions; as they have spend a lot of money and their valuable time to prepare for the entrance examinations. But only a few students are able to crack the exams and get into renowned institutions as per their desire. This became an advantage for emerging engineering colleges as well as students. It was beneficial for students because they could still pursue their dream to be an engineer by enrolling into these colleges. Insufficient knowledge about the fact of ‘engineering’ and their respective field deprives the growth of eminent engineers with minimal employability skills. People have misconception regarding engineers. They think engineers ought to be “super-humans” who can build several gadgets like rockets, robots, electric vehicles etc. The reason following this misconception is that when an emerging engineer is working on a project based on satellites, people conclude his versatility in knowing every minute detail about the satellites. In reality, complete details of the projects are not known by any engineer. For example, to design an electric car people from different streams such as electrical, mechanical, chemical engineering etc. are required.
Engineering college is a place where future engineers are nurtured. But it’s a misconception that drives people to think engineering colleges are build up with business point of view.  As an engineer, student or aspirant, we all know that unless an engineering college, course and seats are certified by AICTE, they are not valid. Engineering colleges are in great demand as they sharpen the skills of the students making them a potent asset for India. Engineering colleges are still the flame of development of Indian economy. Hence they must be peculiar such that the students passing out from any institute should have unified knowledge towards their particular subject and acuteness to perform some epic contribution towards their workplaces. Rather than increasing the quantity we must focus on the quality. Even after pursuing BE, students are clueless about their carrier.

An enormous increase in colleges indirectly impacts the quality of education and depletes the number of jobs in the industries. Quality education must be rendered with respect to practical knowledge rather than theoretical aspects.
The primary objective of engineering education is to give good intuitive basic and analytical skills. The Engineering stream increases the ability of gaining capital by creating assets. Education has to be delivered with quality so that innovative ideas emerging from the engineering graduates could develop the economic growth of the country. Engineering colleges can maintain their quality in varied ways. There are many private engineering colleges who are contributing standard education in quality environment. It is important for such institutions to bring out the best in students because it is basically the results and the quality of the students that will form the criteria for judging the credibility of such colleges.
Technical challenges that will encounter in future require highly skilled engineers, and our educational system needs to train students who can do their best.

Following improvements are needed in engineering education to improve the Quality.

1.Develop elementary as well as secondary school education to students to succeed in engineering school. This should comprise classes that will cultivate engineering skills at an early stage.
2.Having the right kind of education is important. Great improvements need to be made by improving the quality and relevance of these courses. Concentrating on the key areas where one could be educated to understand and make good decisions.
3.Part of the engineering curriculum should be adjusted for betterment of students.
Statistics, problem solving, safety and basic business acumen are key areas in which every engineer should be experienced.
4.Public relations are important.
This will teach people about the value of engineering, the roles that engineers play in this world and the opportunities that exist for engineers may help many to be inspired to become engineers.

All engineering institutions need to be better, and find ways to help others meet higher standards.
